Compatible filter paper

The SD-1R is compatible with regular creped conical filters, including Hario V60-01, Cone Small, and ORIGAMI 2-cup size filters. To support optimal performance, a custom Ruler tool is included to guide users in folding these standard filters into the precise shape needed for the SD-1R. The Ruler also doubles as a compact holder, ideal for travel or small brewing spaces.

Brew Recipe

The SD1R is made for brewing enthusiasts: those who love to experiment with different styles, methods, and variables.

Our personal recipe is:

Coffee: 10g
Water: 180g
Ratio: 1:18
Pour: 30g bloom -> 90g -> 140g -> 180g

Semi-Immersion

During the early stages of brewing, water flows quickly through the bed, mimicking characteristics of drip or percolation.

As the brew progresses, the steeper angle keeps the flow consistent and efficient from start to finish.

The dripper’s smooth interior allows the filter paper to cling closely to the walls when wet, significantly reducing channelling, one of the main causes of uneven extraction. Negative channels further support airflow and help prevent clogging, ensuring a clean, predictable drawdown every time.

Designed and Made in Indonesia

Externally, a series of concentric ribs provides added stability, allowing the SD1R to sit securely on a wide range of brewing vessels, from mugs to carafes. Made from durable, food-grade polycarbonate and available in a variety of stylish colours, the SD1R is built to withstand daily use while adding visual appeal to any brewing setup.
